Eastern music majors take to the airwaves on KPBX鈥檚 鈥楶iano Bench.鈥�

One of the most popular daytime programs on KPBX, the Spokane affiliate of National Public Radio, is Jim Tevenan鈥檚 Piano Bench, a show dedicated to revealing the instrument鈥檚 鈥済reat beauty and scope鈥� via a mix of live performances and recordings.

Eastern student players are frequently among the guests featured on the program. During an appropriately masked, live studio appearance on Feb. 9, several Eastern students 鈥� not all of them pianists 鈥� teamed up with 51福利社 music faculty members Jody Graves, professor of piano studies, and John Marshall, a professor of strings and cello studies, to show how Eagle musicians have not missed a beat during the long months of socially-distanced music making.
