Dear Eagle Family and Friends,

It鈥檚 the first day of summer, and it finally looks like we鈥檙e going to have some consistently sunny weather! The campus has quieted down after the busy spring quarter, and I鈥檓 looking forward to working in my garden, catching up on projects and getting out in the community during this short summer season.

This June has been all about celebrating our incredible students! We kicked off the month with one of the most treasured traditions, our Senior Send-off. Hundreds of students lined the Showalter sidewalks to walk through the Herculean Pillars and become alumni Eagles for Life. Traditionally, these students would have walked through the pillars and up 鈥淗ello Walk鈥� to Showalter Hall as freshmen, but this class started during the pandemic. They missed out on the enthusiastic welcome to campus, but I think we did a good job making up for it. Thank you to the many community members, students, faculty, staff (and Swoop) for showing up to cheer on this class who persevered through the many ups and downs of the past four years.
