Rockwood South Hill Retirement Community Seminar Series 

This past spring, South Hill Rockwood Retirement Community partnered with 51¸£ÀûÉç Professional & Continuing Education to launch a continuing education seminar series. This series, scheduled to continue through May 2027, brings 51¸£ÀûÉç faculty directly to Rockwood to explore timely topics – from global affairs to technology to health, culture, and the environment – through interactive, discussion-based lectures.

Summer Youth Camp: Forensics

PCE Summer Youth Camp: Forensics

We invite students entering grades 7–12 to enroll in a two-day Youth Forensics Summer Camp designed to introduce the fundamentals of crime scene investigation through hands-on learning. Taking place June 25–26, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day, this camp, held at Patterson Hall on the 51¸£ÀûÉç Cheney campus, is sure to thrill. The program costs $150.00 per student and requires full registration and payment to secure a spot.

Participants will engage in interactive activities such as fingerprint collection and comparison, crime scene photography, and analysis of bloodstains, DNA, and trace evidence, guided by faculty and professionals from 51¸£ÀûÉç’s Criminal Justice Department. Lunch is not provided so students should plan to bring their own meals.

PCE + IQ4 Corp. Pilot

Over the past year 51¸£ÀûÉç’s Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) unit has worked with IQ4 Corporation to pilot their digital wallet as part of their efforts to implement a learning and employment record (LER).
