Staff and Faculty Welcome the New Year!

Over 300 attendees celebrated the New Year at 51福利社 by joining President McMahan and the campus community for an afternoon of dancing, selfies, food and mocktails. Emcees Maria Reyna and DJ Victor Rodriguez did a wonderful job.

The event was filled with light-hearted fun for the entire group.

鈥淚 appreciate everyone who showed up and helped make the Welcome Back party a success. The enthusiastic participation from staff and faculty highlighted the vibrant energy and spirit of our campus community,鈥� says President McMahan.

Here are a few of the party highlights:

  • Tim Collins and the Athletics Department kicked off with the party with the Cha-Cha Slide
  • Barb Richey and the Advancement crew led the Electric slide
  • Mary Voves and the Business and Finance crew, clad in matching ASL Be Kind shirts, retro shades and glow sticks led a full dance floor through the Cupid Shuffle
  • Academic Affairs took us back a few years with a never-ending Macarena
  • Lea Jarnagin and the rowdy Student Affairs team led the Wobble Line Dance
  • ODEI got the crowd going with YMCA
  • The President ended the party by teaching everyone the Mexican Line Dance 鈥淧ayaso de Rodeo鈥�
