The primary objective of the mechanical engineering minor is to prepare students to enter and progress in mechanical engineering related positions in business, industry, and government. Graduates are generally expected to work in the research and development of ideas, products, and processes by applying engineering principles to the solution of practical problems in the mechanical engineering field.

It is the policy of the Mechanical Engineering program that students, once admitted to and pursuing a course of study at 51福利社 in Mechanical Engineering, will take their required courses at 51福利社. A student wishing to take a course at another institution with the intention to transfer that course into his/her degree program at 51福利社 must receive prior approval from the Mechanical Engineering Program Coordinator.

Grade Requirements: Students getting a minor in the department must earn an average GPA ≥2.5 in all courses required for the minor (all courses in the list below).
