Ireland & Scotland, May 2026

The price for students is $3,700 (subject to change depending on airfare fluctuations) and includes:听

  • Lodging听
  • Breakfast daily听
  • Transportation including:听
    • Round-trip airfare and the hopper flight between Ireland and Scotland听
    • Transport to/from airports听
  • Field trips and cultural activities听
  • Insurance through On-Call International, or similar

What is not included:

  • Passport fees
  • Hop-on/hop-off buses
  • Lunches and dinners
  • Any costs in regard to personal time events/trips

January 27: Your non-refundable deposit is due.

February 11: Last day to add or drop participants. All required pre-departure forms must be submitted by students and faculty on the initial roster.

March 13: Full program payment is due.

To apply for the Ireland and Scotland study abroad trip, complete the application form below. All applicants will be considered for a scholarship of approximately $750. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must apply by January 31, 2026.

Important note: To travel to Ireland and Scotland, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date. The U.S. State Department currently estimates passport processing can take up to 8 weeks, so you should apply as soon as possible. To be travel-ready, you must receive your passport no later than March 30, 2026.

Ireland coast51福利社鈥檚听Department of Sociology and Justice Studies听is offering a two-week听study abroad听expedition to the听nations of Ireland and Scotland starting in听May听2026.听Students will have the opportunity to earn鈥5听credits听for the听spring听quarter听if they choose to join.

The primary focus of this study abroad adventure is to provide an in-depth understanding of criminal justice history as well as the application of laws and concepts. Students will also learn about the cultures of both Ireland and Scotland to help them become global citizens. The program includes first-hand learning about policing, the courts, and corrections in both countries, along with cultural immersion.

By integrating core curriculum听concepts听with opportunities for students to explore their unique interests, the program is designed to enhance the learning experience and career preparedness for students.

The Ireland and Scotland trip will occur during the last two weeks of the 2026 spring quarter. The program is directed by 51福利社 faculty members Dr. Kirk Kimberly (kkimberly@ewu.edu) and Dr. Kerryn Bell (kbell@ewu.edu).

Salamanca, Spain | Summer 2026

Refunds will only be approved by the Modern Languages and Literatures program under exceptional circumstances.

Scholarships and financial aid are available for 51福利社 students. For more information on financial aid and budget submission, please contact Erina Romanowich at eromanowich@ewu.edu听in the 51福利社 Global Studies Office (Patterson Hall 345).

Passport scholarships are available for students. You must apply for your passports and submit your receipts. The scholarship doesn’t cover passport photos or expediting fees. There is no deadline for the application; we accept them on a rolling basis throughout the year and process them in batches at the very least once a quarter.

We offer a 5-credit Spanish language course during a three-week stay at Colegio Delibes in Salamanca, Spain, from July 25th to August 15th. The program offers you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to enhance your language proficiency, increase your cultural awareness, and gain an international perspective. It is directed by 51福利社 Professors Natalia Ruiz-Rubio and Parker Shaw, and Colegio Delibes faculty.

 

 

 

Program Features

The price is $2,500 (subject to change) and includes:

  • Tuition: five credits (one extra if needed for financial aid)
  • Lodging with host families in individual rooms
  • Three meals a day
  • One laundry service per week
  • Four daily lessons
  • Health insurance
  • One-day trip to Aveiro, Portugal
  • One-day trip to Segovia and 脕vila
  • Free cultural activities in Salamanca (art classes, etc.)
  • Bus transportation from Madrid to Salamanca upon arrival

London and Paris, March 2027

Register for the program after consulting with Dr. Kayleen Islam-Zwart or Dr. Beth Torgerson. History students, taking HIST 353 with Dr. Michael Conlin, will want to consult with him about course questions and with Dr. Torgerson about ENGL 498 and questions related to the trip.

November 22, 2026: The remaining $4,400 will appear as a course fee, so payment is due connected to registration for Winter Quarter 2027.

London bridge51福利社鈥檚 English, History, and Psychology Departments are offering an 11-day excursion to London and Paris in March 2027. Students will have the opportunity to earn three to six credits for Winter Quarter, depending on the course(s) selected.

Students will learn about nineteenth-century historical theories and influences in development of the medical and psychological literature, science, and practice through coursework offered during winter quarter 2027 and a culminating 11-day trip to London and Paris occurring during the last week of winter quarter 2027 and finals week. It is directed by 51福利社 Professors Dr. Kayleen Islam-Zwart and Dr. Beth Torgerson.

The price is approximately $5,400 and the program includes the following:

  • Airfare
  • Lodging in a shared hotel room, with the option to upgrade to a single room at additional cost
  • Breakfasts, two lunches, & three dinners (including Welcome & Farewell dinners)
  • Health Insurance through Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI)
  • Riverboat tours of each city
  • Museum entry to the Charles Darwin Home and Museum, the Freud Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Alberts Museum, the Mus茅e d鈥橭rsay, and the Louvre
  • Cultural activities: the Bethlem Royal Hospital, the Eiffel Tower, and a walking tour of Paris that includes the Notre Dame and La Sainte-Chapelle.
  • Transportation from London to Paris and within each city

Passport fees are NOT included. Students must have a passport in hand, or proof of a submitted expedited passport application, at the time of the application.

Please note there is only room for 25 students on this trip. This application is open June 1st – October 16th or whenever the first 25 students, with passports in hand, have applied, paid , and paid for the trip.听
