Aid for Undocumented Students


Undocumented and DACA students may be eligible for some 51福利社听scholarships (depending on donor criteria) but are not eligible for听institutional financial aid

Applying for Aid

DACA students and 1079 students who are interested in applying for state financial aid for听2025-2026听should complete the following:

  • Apply for admission to 51福利社 by Feb. 1 (new freshmen and transfers).
  • File a 2025-2026 listing 51福利社 as a school choice by June 1, 2025.
  • Submit a residency affidavit form (1079 form) or proof of DACA status (I-797) to the 51福利社 Records and Registration Office by June 1, 2025.
  • Meet family income state aid eligibility requirements.

Undocumented and DACA students are also eligible for some 51福利社 scholarships (depending on donor criteria). To be considered for 51福利社 scholarship opportunities, complete the 51福利社 scholarship application by Feb 1, 2025.

State Financial Aid for DREAMers

Washington State offers financial aid programs to students who aren鈥檛 eligible for federal financial aid because of immigration status. These students still need to meet other program requirements.

1079 Students: Eligibility for State Financial Aid

Undocumented (non-DACA) students who qualify for 1079 status are eligible for resident tuition rates and may qualify for the State Need Grant (SNG) program if all other eligibility requirements are met.听 The requirements for 1079 status are as follows:

  1. Earned a diploma from a Washington State high school (or obtained a GED or equivalent).
  2. Lived in Washington for at least three calendar years (36 months) prior to earning the high school diploma or equivalent and continuously since.
  3. Sign an听(written promise) affirming eligibility and promising to become a permanent resident/citizen of the United States when eligible to apply.

DACA Students: Eligibility for State Financial Aid

DACA students who听meet the听 may qualify for the State Need Grant (SNG), College Bound Scholarship, State Work Study, or the Passport Scholarship program if all other eligibility requirements are met.听 Please consult with the residency specialist in the 51福利社 Records and Registration Office (509.359.2321) to听discuss and document your eligibility for听Washington state residency.
