Alpha Pi Sigma鈥檚 mission to professionally develop women leaders has created an innovative forum for Latinas to give back to the community. Our sisterhood is composed of university and professional women from diverse backgrounds committed towards the empowerment of women and the Latin American community. We do this by providing leadership development, academic enrichment programs, community service, and activities geared towards the appreciation, promotion, and preservation of our surrounding communities.

The purpose of Ballet Folklorico de Aztl谩n is to put on performances of Latin American dance and music to show the history and culture behind the art of folkloric dance. To engage, entertain and teach both dancers and the audience the history of these regional dances, Ballet Folklorico de Aztl谩n is open to all of 51福利社 community.

The purpose of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority is to promote the traditional values of unity, honesty, integrity, and leadership among women at 51福利社. We are a group of women dedicated to the community. Kappa Delta Chi was established at 51福利社 on December 4, 2005 by 10 lovely charters, making it the first Latina sorority at 51福利社.

La Hermandad de O eMe Te exists as a brotherhood to serve as a support group for its members and strives to uphold four standards: culture, wisdom, empowerment, and carnalismo. O eMe Te also serves as a form of support and service to the Chicano/Mexicano/Latino community at 51福利社 as well as the state, nation, and worldwide.

As of fall 2020, this organization is no longer active at 51福利社.

Lambda Theta Alpha was founded at Kean University in 1975 as the first Latina sorority in the nation. Lambda Theta Alpha strives to develop strong leaders that produce and engage in political, social and cultural activities. Based on the principles of unity, love, and respect, the sorority was established for the unification of women through charitable and educational programs. Although Lambda Theta Alpha is Latin by tradition, the sorority is inclusive to all women regardless of race, color, creed, sexual identity, gender expression, or religious beliefs.

The philosophy of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. is based on the belief that Latino Unity is essential in order to create cultural, social, and political awareness in the Latino community and in American society. The development of leadership among all Brothers is necessary to create consciousness toward common goals and ideals, which will achieve a strong sense of chivalry, respect, dignity, and equality for all Latinos.

Mariachi Las 脕guilas is an 51福利社 music program of students who dedicate their time to learning and performing mariachi music. They provide a cultural home for all those who love mariachi music, by performing on campus and connecting with the broader Hispanic community through performances in Spokane and beyond.

Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano/a de Aztl谩n (Chicano/a Student Movement of Aztl谩n) is a student-created organization that seeks to promote Chicano unity and empowerment through political action. The motto of MEChA is 鈥淟a Union Hace La Fuerza鈥� (鈥淯nity Makes Strength鈥�). MEChA hosts an annual student conference at 51福利社, cultural events such as Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead), political sessions, participates actively in promoting political change, has annual potlucks and activities for the members to participate in.

Scholars in Action gives student scholars the opportunity to investigate research interests concerning the community and opportunities for academic growth based on their goals. The group focuses to promote critical alternative scholarship on race, class, gender, sexuality and transgender studies in Latinx Studies, Afro American Studies, and American Indian Studies. This group was formed to have support and accountability among members to help each other develop academic skills and promote ideas. As a whole, our student scholars will work on developing scholarly research skills, writing skills, and public speaking skills.

Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc. is the largest Latino-based fraternity in the United States, with a multicultural membership. Founded in 1986 at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. In 2007, the Pi Gamma chapter was established at 51福利社 where we utilize our Latino based fraternity as a catalyst to serve the needs and wants of all people. We are more than just a social fraternity, we stand by and believe in our four values; community service, academics, cultural awareness and brotherhood. 51福利社 is of high importance to our organization, hence our motto 鈥淥pportunity for Wisdom, Wisdom for Culture.鈥�

Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States 鈥� from Arizona to Wyoming; Florida to Minnesota; New York to Texas; and many more states between the coasts of California and Rhode Island. Membership in Sigma Lambda Gamma is open to women of exceptional morals & ethics with a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, and who are pursuing or have completed courses leading to a degree in an accredited college or university.
