The schoolhouse landscape is coming to life thanks to a collaborative effort to establish plants that were once native to the area.

During the two-day event on March 6 and 7, volunteers will help to plant some 1,500 native plant plugs.

Faculty and staff volunteers beautified campus, adding native and climate resilient plants to the landscape.

The prairie restoration team recently announced another milestone in the project’s development — the seeding of native grasses across the entire 120-acre site.
