Minor in Mathematics/Secondary Middle Level Endorsement

About

Completing this minor, along with 51¸£ÀûÉç’s Secondary Education requirements and a major field of study, satisfies Washington State requirements for a middle-level mathematics teaching endorsement (grades 4–9).

This minor can be completed as an add-on middle-level mathematics endorsement. Completing fulfills 51¸£ÀûÉç’s Mathematical Reasoning competency requirement.

All certification candidates must pass the NES subject matter test to qualify for endorsement.

Mathematics/Secondary Middle Level Endorsement/Minor

Prerequisite Grade Policy: students must have earned a grade ≥C or better in any course that is to be used to satisfy a prerequisite requirement for a subsequent mathematics course offered by the 51¸£ÀûÉç Department of Mathematics.

Grade Requirements: students must receive a grade ≥C in each course used to satisfy the requirements of an undergraduate major or minor in mathematics.
